The Macpuarsa Collection intends to map our relationship with “the natural” in a time when distinguishing it from the artificial is increasingly tricky. All artists represented in this collection show a clear interest for nature and the natural, though sometimes from diametrically different points of view. The Macpuarsa Collection counts with work by artists such as Robert Smithson, Richard Long, Hamish Fulton, Olafur Eliasson, Andy Warhol, Richard Prince, Fischli & Weiss, Ibon Aranberri, Vik Muniz, Thomas Ruff, Willie Doherty, Henrik Hakansson, Bernd and Hilla Becher, Zoe Leonard or Cristina Iglesias. This broad spectrum covers different perceptions and variations of a same theme, generating an environment fit for reflection. The Macpuarsa Collection has its official headquarters in Seville, where it currently houses the Collection on a permanent basis, opening it to the public. Also, and as part of the same commitment, the Macpuarsa Foundation has made it its aim to make other company collections accessible to the public by exhibiting works from collections which normally have no visibility and, in doing so, taking care of a task of great cultural relevance.
